Valentine Letter Delivered

Valentine's day is a day to show someone how much you care. My students wrote letters to their teachers from previous years. Then they delivered them to the teachers. In this photo Brandon, Quinten and Makenna delivered their letters to Mrs. Smith - their kindergarten teacher.

On February 2nd, Punxsutawney Phil was predicting the upcoming weather for 2011. The students in Mrs. Smith's class did some predicting of their own. First, they guessed how much snow fell in January 2011. According to statistics, Cincinnati had 21.5 inches! Based on what we had, the students predicted how much snow will fall in the month of February. Looking at the graph, they are predicting quite a snowfall. Let's hope they are wrong and spring will be arriving soon!
